REVIEW & SWATCHES URBAN DECAY NAKED HEAT PALETTE.

Hello, lovely readers, I am really excited to finally be able to write this review. The first time I saw this palette on UD'S IG I got so excited and said I need this palette and is going to be mine. Nobody saw this coming from Urban Decay, it got us by surprise. I got my hands on the new NAKED HEAT palette by Urban Decay, I got it on the pre-sale June 12. The palette will be available June 30TH on Urban Decay's website, on Sephora and Ulta's website will be available on July 10TH and it will be available at Sephora and Ulta store on July 13TH.
Mark your calendars ladies.

Let's get Started with the review, shall we?

Shipping time & Packaging.

I placed my order on Monday, June 12TH at 12 am pst time (regular time Urban Decay releases their products. As soon as I hit the place order button I got an email with my confirmation. Later in the day, I got a shipping confirmation order. By Friday, June 16 my palette was in my house. I am really pleased with the shipping. My palette arrived in good condition. I would prefer ordering at the Sephora website because they have 2-day free shipping for flash members plus you get the points.

It came with a cardboard box, with the details about the palette. The palette is made of hard plastic with a magnet closing. The palette is really pretty, I love the letter details. It comes with a pretty good mirror and a brush.

The Inside.

As all the Naked palettes it comes with 12 eye shadows, all-new shades to Urban Decay.  They are 7 matte eyeshadows, Chaser, Sauced, Low Blow, He Devil, Cayenne, En fuego and Ashes. And with 5 shimmers/metallic, Ounce, Lumbre, Dirty Talk, Scorched, Ember.
This palette comes with more matte shades than the other Naked palettes and I appreciate that I love my matte eyeshadows.

How it performs? Quality, Blendability, Pigmentation.

This and the Naked 1 are the only two Naked Palettes I own, both are good quality but I actually like the shimmers more on the Naked HEAT, they do not have any fallout, and they have great pigmentation. The mattes are great, they feel smooth but they do take a little more time and effort to blend. Quality as same as the Urban Decay shadows, I used it for an outdoor party, on a humid day, the shadow performed beautifully and by the time I got home they were still going strong about 7 hours with the Milani eyeshadow primer.

My opinion.

I am going to be totally honest with you Naked palettes are cult palettes, at least all of us have one Naked palette, or we started our makeup collection with one, I started with the Naked 1 that palette is my baby, I love it, but I do prefer other eyeshadow palettes that have better color payoff, and more mix of color to offer.

Naked Palettes are really narrow when it comes to shade selection and what I mean by this is, the Naked 1 is mostly warm tone shadows, the Naked 2 cool tone shadows, the Naked 3 pinky mauve, shadows, the Smoky palette is mostly as the name says smoky shades, and now the Naked Heat is warm with burnt oranges and sienna tones. Do I recommend this palette? Absolutely, the quality is great, I love the shades and I can see myself reaching for this palette often. Do you need it? Not necessary, why? well, it depends on your preferences and how comfortable you are with warm shades. If you are a beginner I would recommend another palette that comes with a better color range so you can play with different color combinations.
I really like this palette is becoming one of my favorites.

ANTI HAUL #1

Monday, June 12, 2017

ANTI HAUL: Makeup I won't purchase & my reasons why.

What is an anti haul?
Is basically telling people or in this case my readers, what I won't buy and my reasons why.

FYI: These are products or brands that  I don't share any interest on, or that don't share my personal beliefs. These products may work for you, but may not work for me or vice-versa. This post has no intentions on disrespect anybody. All opinions are my own.

Being said that let's begin.

Kylie Cosmetics.

Okay, take your seat, get your snacks, cause I'm going to get shady af.

Every time someone asks me, why don't you have any Kylie cosmetics? or do you recommend them? I said listen you don't want to hear my answer cause Imma rant.
Why I don't support Kylie Cosmetics?
Well, I really do not care about any of the Kardashians, I think they know how to do business and that is it.
But the main reason why I don't support her brand is private labeling. What is a private label you ask?
Designating a product manufactured or packaged for sale under the name of the retailer rather than that of the manufacturer.
What does this really means?
Let's pretend I am a very well known idol or public figure, and  I come up with the wonderful idea of creating my own makeup line, but I see that having my own manufacturer costs a lot of money, and all the process is a lot of work. Well, I discover the amazing private labeling world, and I get a manufacturer that does my makeup line for a very low price and all I have to do is put my name on their products to sell them. Surprised? Well sorry to break your bubble but that is what Kylie cosmetics is doing. Many brands to that, and do not get me wrong, but why pay $18 for a $5 worth product?
They have overpriced products, over that add the terrible customer service and that you basically have to fight to get any of her products.
I do not care about them, I don't think they are anything unique, and I am not going to spend the money that I earn working hard on something like her brand to make her richer.

Morphe.

Ahh, another private label brand. I just can't keep up with the fame behind the brand! Most of their products are way overpriced for what it really is. I am tired of beauty influencers trying to sell me a crappy makeup brush I can buy for a $1 on eBay for like $20, like really? Their palettes are so famous but are they really worth it? with shipping and taxes, they come up almost to $40, girl just save your money and buy a good palette at Ulta or Sephora.
Plus the damn discount code that works for nothing, like really 10%?. I prefer to spend my money on a good palette.

If you want to know more about this topic please check Stephanie Nicole videos.

Morphe Video*

Tarte

Who is over the whole unicorn thing already? Me!
Don't get me wrong they are cute, but do we really need them? No, is not practical is just cute.
Why spend your money on makeup you won't use? Right?

Kat Von D

I really enjoy Kat Von D products, I think they are amazing, but this palette does not catch my attention. I think the color layout is kinda off.

BECCA

Really Becca? How many limited edition packaging/palettes we need of Champagne pop?
I am really tired of them trying to get the most juice out of their products by doing this limited edition series.

Storybook Cosmetics

Sorry but I really do not like these brushes, if I am going to buy brushes is because they are functional, not pretty or whatever. I haven't done my research about the brand, and honestly, I won't.

I am sure I have more products I won't buy but I will leave that for another anti haul. Before you go you should know I do my research before I buy most of my makeup so I won't regret it later.
Do your research, search for a review, how would it work with your skin type or skin color? is it worth it? Do I really need it?

Hope this post help you in any kind of way, and I will see you later :)

EMPTIES : Products I 've Used Up #2

Tuesday, June 6, 2017

Empties: Beauty, Skincare, Haircare and more.

People may find odd that I have been hoarding "trash" since the past maybe 4 months or so. I love to watch empties videos and the reason why is because you get an honest opinion by the time you finish a product you should have an honest and true review. Some of these products I have purchased over and over again, some were sent to me as a complimentary sample for testing and review purposes. I am not gonna lie it feels good every time I see how many empties I have because I can tell I'm actually using all the products I have! haha, I'm weird I know.
Let's get started because I have quite a few empties!

Skincare

Olay Complete All Day UV Moisturizer SPF 15 for sensitive skin.

This was my holy grail moisturizer for 2 years or more I think. Girl, I swore by this face cream, it has SPF, it didn't make my skin oily or sticky, it is formulated for sensitive skin so It didn't make my skin breakout. I do not know how many people I have recommended this cream to, they have different formulas that work according to your skin type and needs. I totally would repurchase this one if my CeraVe one wasn't my favorite at the moment.
Buy here  $8.99

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration.

I got this face cream in one of my Ipsy's bag {let me now if you want me to do Ipsy unboxing every month} Well, to be honest, I did not have much faith in this product, but it surprised me so much, this face cream is formulated to suit any skin type. I used it as my night time moisturizer, it made my skin so soft and it looked so hydrated the next morning. I would purchase it. I am not using it right now because I am trying to finish my other facial moisturizers.

Buy here $12-34

Tucker Ashley Advanced Peptide Eye Complex.

Another product I got in my Ipsy bag. I would say it did not do a lot for my eye area, but it kept it moisturized, and that is basically what I need for my age, I am 21, there is no wonder product that can help with my dark circles since I was little I have had them, and if I eat and sleep properly they diminish.  I wouldn't repurchase is kinda expensive and for what it does I can get another eye cream for a better price.
Buy Here $29.95

GNC Aloe Vera Skin Gel & Aloe Vera Moisturizer Cream.

I bought these products because after I went to the beach my skin was irritated and dry. Aloe vera helps with redness and to give hydration to the skin. The gel is 99% aloe vera, it really helps me, I have used up 3 bottles already, and I am using one right now.The face cream I liked it but it has ingredients I do not use on my skin so I wouldn't repurchase.

couldn't find any link but is available at any GNC store.

Frutique Berry Berry Facial cleanser.

I bought it on sale at Sally's because they were going to discontinue the brand. I would not repurchase.

Avalon Organics Vitamin C Renewal Refreshing Cleansing Gel.

I did not like it, I felt like it irritated my face and I couldn't stand the orange smell it has.
Buy here $10.99

ST. IVES Blackhead Cleanser Green Tea Scrub & Even & Bright Pink Lemon & Mandarin Orange Scrub.

St. Ives is one of my favorite brands, I really enjoy their products and I would totally repurchase them! They do not irritate my skin or wasn't  too harsh.

Almay Eye Makeup Remover Liquid.

Fav! Fav! I really enjoyed this eye makeup remover, it doesn't burn my eyes and it takes off makeup really quick. I get the waterproof version because I only use waterproof mascara. I would totally repurchase.

Buy here $5.99

Sephora Collection Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover.

I feel guilty liking this product, is not that affordable and I go thru eye makeup removers really quickly.I mean if you are in a hurry or you need a travel size makeup remover and you grab this at Sephora it would do the job, but they are more affordable ones out there.

purchase here $7.50-15

Equate Beauty Oil-Free Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover.

I bought it because I was at Walmart I needed a makeup remover and it was cheap, I liked it does take a while to remove all my mascara, but I like it, I am currently using one right now.

HAIR

L'oreal EverStrong Thickening Shampoo.

This is one of my staples, I have thick hair but not that many so this shampoo helps with that. I mainly use it when I am going to style my hair. I really like it, is not like is going to make a huge difference but it gives an extra touch to us girls with three hairs.

Buy here. $7.99

Garnier Fructis Grow Strong 2-in-1 Fortifying Shampoo + Conditioner.

My sister used up this shampoo, she said she liked it. It helps with growing strong hair and giving a shine to the hair.

Tio Nacho Royal Jelly Shampoo.

This is very popular shampoo in Mexico, it's supposed to help lighten our hair, but let's be real my dark hair ain't gonna get lighter. I use it because it helps with frizz and to make my hair softer and shinier.

Garnier Whole Blends Honey Treasures Repairing Shampoo.

I liked it, but I wouldn't repurchase.

Is not new that I suffer from dandruff. Ever since I was little I remember my mom struggling to find a shampoo that works for me. I don't suffer from it all the time, they are periods when it is under control and others when is totally a disaster. I heard wonderful things about these two shampoos and I didn't hesitate to purchase them at this point I'm like "I am not looking for a miracle product, I am just looking for something that will help with having my dandruff under control" Well I got both from Amazon, and let me tell you something, they work, well at least for me they did. They had my dandruff under control and even when I was under humid or really dry climate my dandruff would not get messed up. Every time I finish my shampoo I buy or try a new one so my hair would not get used to that product and stop working, after a month or two I would repurchase the one that worked for me. If you suffer from dandruff give these two babies a try.I do not use this shampoo more than two time a week. The only con I have is that they are kinda expensive and the Vichy one is not longer on Amazon :( because is not sold in the USA.

Okay since we are on the dandruff topic, I'm going to talk about head & shoulders, these are the only shampoos that work for me besides Zincon. I have tried every shampoo from head & shoulders and they just do not work for me like these three. I use them every other day so my hair won't get dry or frizzy.

*DENTAL CARE & BODY CARE*

Colgate Total Whitening Toothpaste.

I only used up this one because it was in the house but I would not repurchase.

Crest 3D White Toothpaste.

Favorite toothpaste, I been using this toothpaste for more than 3 years and I love it, I love how clean my teeth feel after I brush them. Totally recommended.

Imma rant, if you know me personally you will know this Caress body wash is my favorite, is the only body wash I use, I don't care about any Bath & Body Works, any Pink or Victoria Secret. I have used this body wash for more than 4 years, but recently Caress decided to change the formula and the packaging.LIKE WHY CARESS? having such a good product, with a good formula and packaging, there was no need to change it so drastically, right? Well I was not aware of this change, so I did not buy any backups, so I'm lost. CARESS PLEASE BRING BACK OLD EVENLY GORGEOUS BODY WASH! Okay, enough ranting. The scent on both lasts all day on the skin, they will not dry out your skin and they will lightly exfoliate the skin. I mean they are perfect! or at least they were...

I'm not going to put any link beacause they change the formula, If you want to try the new one go to your local Walmart, Target, CVS etc.

*Random*

AUSSIE 3 Minute Miracle Moist.

I do not use conditioner, as you might notice haha, I don't like them. Instead, I use leave in, or hair masks, because I think they work better with my hair type.
This one is an oldie but goodie is a staple in my bathroom. Totally recommend it!
Buy it here $2.97

Secret Deodorant.

The only one that I use, works on me all year long, even during humid hot days here in Houston. I like the staying power it has and that the scent is neutral, doesn't compete with my perfume.

Buy here. $ 3.49

Cutex Nail Polish Remover.

Is not a bad product, is just that I would not repurchase because I already have a favorite one.

Listerine Cool Mint Mouthwash.

Been using it for years love it! I do not have issues with tingling or burning!

*MAKEUP*

And for the most exciting part.
Drum rolls, please...

Dream Pure BB Cream Skin Clearing Perfector.

I do not use foundation all the time, I opt for a BB cream, and this one was pretty good I gotta say! I really enjoy the coverage, the texture and the way it applied on my skin. I would purchase again but for now, I have a new favorite.
Buy here $ 8.99

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara.
Ahh, my favorite mascara soo far! I already used up another one and I bought a new one! Umm, you need it in your life, hurry! Go to Ulta and go get you one!
Buy here $ 8.99

Maybelline Eye Studio Drama Gel Liner.

Best gel liner I have tried! Easy to apply, black as the night and super long lasting! GO get you some girl!

Buy here $8.99

ELF Instant Lift Brow Pencil.
God only knows how many of these I have been through, for $2 you can't ask much, but this brow pencil is really good! It lasts all day long!
Buy here $2.00

ELF Lip Exfoliator.

Is a good lip exfoliator, but I realize it goes bad fast, I really enjoy using it before a bold lip, or when I am using a matte lipstick.
Buy here $3.00

Rimmel London Fix & Perfect Primer.

This was the first primer I ever bought! I really really like it! For me, it did its job, kept my makeup in place.
I think is discontinued, couldn't find any link to it.

Garnier BB Cream Under Eye Perfector.
It was okay, nothing I would repurchase.

It's discontinued.

NYX Hi Definition Photo Concealer Wand.

Really good concealer, I would repurchase, but for now, I am trying to finish the ones I have now before I buy any new ones.

Buy here $ 4.99

It Cosmetics Brow Power Universal Pencil.

I got this in my Ipsy bag, I really really liked it! Buy my Elf one does the job, so I am sticking with that one.

Buy here $24.00

EOS Lip Balm.

We all at some point bought this lip balm because of the hype, but let's be real is just the cute packaging, because they really don't do much to the lips.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge.

They are not a dupe for the Beauty Blender, but it sure does a really good job, plus it's cheap and you can even find it at Walmart. I think I have purchased like 10 for real.

Buy here $ 6.99

Thank for reading! See y'all soon :)

Remember all products perform differently, what works for you may not work for me and vice-versa.
